The national team of Emirates lost his game against the team of Qatar 86/74 in the opening of the Arab Basketball National Teams Championship for Youth which has begun this evening in El-Zohour Club venue in Cairo. In spite of El-Enaby excellence most of time using his outstanding three-point shot, the white team of Emirates that was lacking three of his leading players due to injury was about to turn the table twice on his contender; the first was before the end of the third quarter when he took the lead 44/43; and the second was when he decreased the difference in score from 12 points to 6 points two minutes before the end of the game, till the difference finally increased again at the end. In addition, the captain and star of Emirates Abdelaziz Khalifa attained the highest score of 31 points. On the other hand, the national team of Algeria clinched a big win over his Kuwaiti rival in the inaugurating game scoring 99/44. In the second stage, Qatar and Kuwait will meet tomorrow Friday at 3 p.m. (EGY) 5 p.m. (GST), followed by Emirates vs. Saudi Arabia, and later Egypt vs. Algeria.
