Lebanese clubs have monopolized the title in the last 20 years, specifically since 2002, when Al-Hikma won the championship title that was held in Lebanon, followed by the Antranik twice in a row, in 2006 in the UAE and 2007 in Morocco. The Tunisian Alamal was able to stop the monopoly of the Lebanese basketball in 2010 in Morocco, then the Lebanese athlete resumed the title procession twice consecutively in 2014 and 2015 in Egypt, after which a new breakthrough occurred from the Algerian Petroleum Complex in 2016 in Jordan, followed by the Lebanese Homenetemen twice in a row in 2017 and 2018 in Lebanon and Egypt, and the Lebanese Beirut succeeded in winning the last two titles in Morocco and Jordan in 2019 and 2021.

The championship was launched in 1990 in Jordan, and its title was won by the Tunisian Feild, followed by Alhelal of Tunisia with the second title in 1991 in Tunisia, while the third title was for Sporting of Egypt in 1992 in Syria, the fourth title for the Tunisian Alhelal in Egypt in 1993, the fifth title for the Tunisian Feild in Egypt in 1995, and the sixth title for Al-Ahly of Egypt in Lebanon in 1996, the seventh title for the Tunisian Feild in Tunisia in 1997, the eighth title for Sporting of Egypt in Lebanon in 1998, the ninth title for Tunisian Sfax in 1999 in Lebanon, the tenth title for Sfax in the Emirates in 2000, and the eleventh title for Tunisian Traffic in Egypt in 2001.
