Beirut of Lebanon achieved an exciting victory over Kazma of Kuwait in extra time 102/97, after the normal time ended in a tie 85/85. The credit for this victory goes to the young player Omar Jamal Al-Din, who prevented Kazma from winning the bronze medal in the last second of normal time with a wonderful three point shot that led his team to play five additional minutes and decide the result in those minutes, as he alone scored 33 points, one point ahead of Kazma professional William, the scorer of the match. Kazma advanced in the first quarter 23/19, and Beirut responded to him in the second quarter for Kazma to advance again 26/21 in the third quarter, then Beirut in the fourth quarter 20/13 and in the extra time 17/12 for the Cedars men to return with a precious medal to the capital, Beirut. 23/25
