Egypt and Tunisia qualified for the final of the Arab Basketball Junior Championship, which is currently in Jordan, after their victory over Jordan and Algeria in the semi-final round. The two winning teams will meet next Monday to determine the champion, while the two losers will play on Sunday to determine the bronze medal winner.

Tunisia had started the semi-finals by defeating Algeria 50/45 after the latter advanced in the first quarter 7/6, but Tunisia responded strongly in the second quarter and ended it in its favor 22/9, which facilitated its mission to reach the final match despite its loss in the third quarter 8/18 and its victory in the last quarter 14/11. The Tunisian player Enas Ben Rajab scored the highest score 21 points.

In the second match, the Egyptian team continued its strong performances and high numbers by defeating the owner of the land 81/45, as it advanced in the first three periods 12/22, 25/3 and 18/5, while the last quarter ended in favor of Jordan 25/16.

Tomorrow, Saturday, in the juniors semi-finals, Egypt and Algeria will meet at 17:00 Jordan time, followed by Tunisia and Jordan at 19:00. The winners will qualify for the final on Monday, while the losers will meet on Sunday to determine the bronze medal winner.

In another context, Brigadier General Abdullah Shalabi, Secretary General of the Arab Federation, confirmed that the federation succeeded in the challenge it faced by organizing two tournaments at the same time, due to the establishment of two tournaments next month for the women's teams in Cairo and the Games in Algeria, pointing to the federation's keenness to implement its programs on time and facilitate the task of the teams and for the clubs that have continental entitlements. He added that the participating teams in Jordan benefited a lot and developed their level from one match to another, while the absent teams lost, which we hope will be present in the upcoming tournaments. Shalabi praised the performance level of Jordan and Algeria teams which was ended for the benefit of the first after the extra-time. He stopped at the Female Juniors Championship which is being held for the first time, saying that the idea of the championship began four years ago and the federation had great insistence on organizing it, and the participation of four teams is a good start, and it is expected that the number will increase in the coming year after the success of the current tournament.
