The Egyptian Basketball Federation decided to set up an outdoor camp for the senior team in Dubai from 9 to 13 August, provided that it will play a match with its Emirati counterpart on August 10, as part of its preparations for the international tournament organized by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority from 13 to 18 of the same month, which precedes the participation of the Pharaohs in the World Cup finals in the Philippines at the end of next month. Dr. Magdi Abu Freikha, Vice President of the Arab Federation and President of the Egyptian Federation, stated that choosing the UAE to prepare the national team comes within the framework of cooperation between the two federations and their conviction that the UAE Federation will provide all the capabilities and facilities necessary for the success of the camp, pointing to the great role played by Major General M. He added that the Egyptian basketball is living its golden periods, and it suffices to say that 17 teams qualified for the World Cup and Africa, three of them in the World Cup, the senior team of men, U19 men and women, and five in the World Cup 3x3.
