The 35th Arab Basketball Club Championship for men begins in Doha tomorrow

The 35th edition of the Arab Club Basketball Championship for men will begin tomorrow in Doha, with the participation of 18 teams divided into four groups. The first includes Qatar, Bahrain’s Muharraq, the Palestinian Al-Berij Services, and Kuwait, the defending champion. The second is Al-Ittihad Alexandria, the record holder (7) times, Al-Seeb of Oman, Al-Ahly of Qatar, the Lebanese Dynamo, and Al-Ittihad Algerian, the matches of the two groups are in Al-Gharafa Hall, while the third includes Al-Qadisiyah of Kuwait, Sanaa Union, Salé of Morocco, and Al-Fateh of Saudi Arabia, and the fourth includes Al-Ittihad of Libya, Tigris of Iraq, Majd Tangier of Morocco, Beirut of Lebanon, third in the last tournament, and Al-Ahly of Egypt, runner-up, and their matches will be held in Al-Rayyan Hall. The tournament will open with a match between Al-Ittihad and Al-Seeb at 14:00, Doha time, followed by Al-Ahly of Qatar and Dynamo at 16:30 in the strongest matches of this round. Then, Al-Berij Services and Qatar will meet at 19:30, and after the opening ceremony. the preliminary round will continue until next Friday, followed by a rest day and then the 16th round on the next day between the top four of each group, so that the first of the first group meets the fourth of the second group, the second of the first meets the third of the second, the second of the second meets the third of the first, and the first of the second group meets the fourth of the first, provided that the same system applies to the third and fourth groups.
